Initially, we received a request from Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs) to update their mobile application. After a public tender process, we were fortunate to collaborate with TWGHs to complete their 150th-anniversary mobile application.

This project is particularly interesting because we have consistently used NativeScript for our tech stack. Many clients tend to believe that not using native programming languages might impose many limitations and performance impacts. However, this project effectively demonstrates the viability of NativeScript. The entire new mobile application was developed using NativeScript. Some legacy services needed to be retained, and those pages were originally developed using Objective C & Java. This situation aptly demonstrates how NativeScript can integrate with native code. The reason being, NativeScript is a JIT Compiled language, which means it's not a native programming language, yet it can utilize all native functionalities. Thus, one can observe that even with some very old code, NativeScript can manage it effortlessly.
